Topping Off Ceremony at Hampton Inn DC Ballpark
November 6, 2014 1:17 pmWhat is just as exciting as a Washington Nationals win? A topping off ceremony! (Well, for us construction folk anyways!) Yesterday, the topping off ceremony commenced with the final piece being added tot the exterior of the 13-story, 168-room Hampton Inn and Suites. The new 98,000 SF hotel is designed to fit into the modern architecture of the Navy Yard neighborhood. The construction includes a kitchen with new equipment for food prep, a breakfast room, meeting space, hotel offices, lobby, fitness room, employee break room, laundry, and loading dock area. A rooftop bar and terrace will highlight the neighboring scenic views of Nationals Park.
